I am a season's ticket holder of the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL. I know the play of Martin Karsums well. This is not agood pick. Chances of playing as an impact player with the Bruins is nil. He is not big at 5'10", with a medium build, and while you might hear from Bruin mgt. that he plays tough I can tell you that he is a 'late' hitter - a player who allows the opposing player to go into the corner first and then hits and it appears that he like the rough going. Down low he is relatively easy to nock off the puck. Good skater and sees the ice well but not outstanding. Solid junior player and maybe minor pro. Once he arrives wat the show he'll melt. It looks to me like the Bruins used central scouting or a recommendation form a local scout on this one, without really looking at the way he plays. Also I cannot be sure but it appeared that he collected a high % of his points against weak opposition and at home. Once Gatineau, Rimouski and the other stronmg teams arrived can't say I remember him performing well.
