ANDREW RAYCROFT 1 Goalie Height 6' 0" Weight 184 Catches Left Born May 4, 1980 BELLEVILLE, ON, CAN
The Boston Bruins selected Raycroft in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Before joining Boston, the netminder enjoyed a decorated career in the OHL. In 1999-2000, which was Raycroft's last of three seasons in the OHL, he won the league's Red Tilson Trophy (most outstanding player) and both the OHL's and Canadian Major Junior's Goaltender-of-the-Year Awards. That season, Raycroft posted a 33-20-5 record and 3.43 goals-against average. In 2000-01, the goalie appeared in 15 NHL games, going 4-6 with a 2.96 GAA. He made one appearance for Boston in the 2001-02 campaign.
